We could see Bled Castle from our room.
Bled Castle. Paula and I walked around the lake in the pouring down rain. She held the umbrella over the camera while I took the picture. Team effort!
Church of the Assumption on Bled Island. My hands were so cold they barely worked. Liked how it turned out, however, it would have been way cooler if I could have captured some lightning in the background from the storm.
There will be no shortage of ketchup at the Pizzeria Rustica!
Fall is a beautiful time to visit Bled!
One of the boats that you can row out to the island (we didn't).
Statue in someone's yard.
View of the island from Bled Castle.
Plitvice Lakes, Croatia. Mosses created dams across the stream creating a chain of lakes that pour into each other.
I love the green color of the water. It was so clear.
Pathway around one of the first lakes we encountered.
Reflections and lake.
Paula's take on the reflections.
The region is on a large limestone deposit, hence lots of caves.
The boat that picked us up and ferried us across one of the larger lakes. It was electric to keep the water clean.
